Exploding PSU?!

I recently bought a Antec 350 watt PSU to try to get a older P4 system working. When I finished setting everything up I plugged it in and BANG there went my brand new PSU. Could this have been a fauly PSU or could the motherboard have killed it? Someone had written "Bad" on the back of the motherboard so I am inclined to think it's the problem, I'm just not sure.

Any opinions?

Fit another PSU and if that goes BANG then you know for certain....:haha:

I think that "bad" on the board was a good sign, pity the writer wasn't more indicative of why it was bad.
