Far Cry multiplayer problems

I've just bought Far Cry and no muliplayer games are listed when the game's own multiplayer program looks for them. Also, Gamespy doesn't recognise the game is installed since it doesnt find it when it looks for games, is this because Far Cry cannot be played on Gamespy? Please help.
