fast startup...slow shutdown?

well something must be wrong....
my start up is quick and good but when i goto shut down it stays on the
"shutting down" screen for a 'while'. It logs off correctly and everything just when it goes to shut-down...

any ideas?

you may have some items that you box has to perform on shutdown. For example, I have my IE delete web pages at shutdown, I also clear my page file at shutdown. These can take a couple of minutes.
Unless you are getting some error message (Event Log,etc.) I would not be concerned.
