Fatal Error- Sviewport?????

I just put this together for a friend and all went well.
Here's the system.

ASUS M2a-MVP MoBo
Athlon 64 X2 6400+ CPU
Vista Home Premium 64 bit
320 GB EIDE HDD
4 GB Ram
Sapphire HD 2600 XT Graphics Card with 512MB GDDR3 Memory

The Device Manager says all hardware is running fine.

Here's the problem---
I went to install Codename Panzers game and I get this error...

Fatal Error
Sviewport;;Allocoffscreenbuffers; Createdepthstenciltexturefailed.
D3DERR_Invalidcall

Think the game just cant be run in Vista. It is an 2004 game. Runs fine on my XP system at home.
I am stuck at work with a corprate filter so no game sites here. Maybe theres a Vista Patch on CDV's website
Anway any help will be great.

You may be able to run the game in the compatibility Mode. First go ahead and check for a Vista patch
