Firefox-Publix Fox asking for a password.

Went to look for an add-on to download flash, however a "window poped open labeled; "Publix Fox Authentication", which requested a password. What is this, and how do I get rid of it? I have discovered that I can not change or get to just about any other setting either.

Could the be "Publix Fax Authentication"? In either case, "Publix" is the name of a grocery chain. In the first case with "Fox", the Fox news is indicated. In the second case with "Fax", an authentication is required to send a fax.

There has been a case of counterfeit coupons being circulated on the Internet- Publix was one of the chains hit. You message smacks of phishing since it wants a password. I suggest you switch over to the Security forum and go through the malware cleaning process. You will get excellent help there.
