Flash drive won't read

My PC recognizes the flash drive when I insert it, but when I open the drive, it's empty and none of the files show up. I tried my other flash drive, and the same problem occurred. It works just fine on my other computer though. I've recently reformatted my computer, yet the problem still persists. There's also a problem with my printer as well: when I plug the USB cable into my computer, it recognizes the printer but the printer won't respond when I want to print something.

Make sure you have all the latest drivers from your mobo manufacturers website.

go to computer management, disc management in the control panel and assign your flash drive a letter.

Also reinstall your printer drivers.
