Ok I think I I uploaded all the log files you needed let me know if I am missing anything.
The AntiRoot scan did not find anything so no results to upload.
My problem seems to be a trojan named CID it caused internet explorer windows to pop at all I can tell as random intervals.

Software Specs:
Currently Running Legit Windows XP service Pack 2
Avast Anti Virus
Adaware 2007
AVG anti-spyware (recommended by yourselves)
Spybot
CCleaner
Hijack this

Hardware Specs (if needed? :S)
amd 5400 dual core
2gb corsair
1950xtx
750gb seagate
asus mobo

Please let me know if you need any additional information.
thanks in advance :D
The Flint 8D

oh also I hent through the step by step guide you had just to let you know, CID pop ups are still present

You need to re-read the instructions again. The instructions ask for 3 logs and information about the result of one other program.

The reason we ask for specific logs is because we know how to read them and trust them to give us the info we need in order to properly diagnose problems accurately.

As an example, your HJT log is from safe mode, the instructions do not ask for it to be run in safe mode at all, indeed, the log isn't much use from safe mode.

You need to have a read of this - If your system is infected. Read this before deciding whether to CLEAN or REFORMAT.

Then if you should wish to proceed with cleaning your system you need to go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, Combofix, and AVG Antispyware logs as ATTACHMENTS into this thread, only after doing the above.
We also need to know the result of Panda Antirootkit.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Delete all files in AVG Antispyware quarantine.

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how HERE.

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE.

Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

BOOB BASH.exe

Close task manager.

Run HJT with no other programmes open(except notepad). Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [warn default inter for] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\Time Dead Warn Default\BOOB BASH.exe

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Locate and delete the following bold files and/or folders(if there).

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\Time Dead Warn Default

Reboot into normal mode and rehide your protected OS files.

Post a fresh HJT log as well as a Combofix log.

Ok when rebooting into safe mode didnt find the boob.exe in any of my running processes after doing the hjt scan i found and fixed those two files you spoke of and then afterwards i deleted the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\Time Dead Warn Default
I then completed the 2 scans you wanted and here are the following logs.

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the code box below into it:
NOTE* make sure to only highlight and copy what is inside the quote box nothing out side of it.
Also ..

Pay particular attention to this :-

Make sure the word File:: is on the first line of the text file you save (no blank line above it, & no space in front of it)
Code:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\popcinfot.dat
C:\WINDOWS\2rrr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\setupcnfgsrv.exe

Folder::
C:\bf061072def23275af057ab22316f803

Save this as CFScript.txt

Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

CFScript.gif

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a fresh HJT log.

ok i think i did what you requested also to let you know after completing your previous request I have not noticed the cid pop ups any but I imagine it may not be 100% neutralized yet

You`ve got another nasty just popped up in your HJT log. In fact, your system has spawned quite a few nasties.

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the code box below into it:
NOTE* make sure to only highlight and copy what is inside the quote box nothing out side of it.
Also ..

Pay particular attention to this :-

Make sure the word File:: is on the first line of the text file you save (no blank line above it, & no space in front of it)
Code:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\temp1.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\temp2.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp.reg
C:\WINDOWS\2rrr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\setupcnfgsrv.exe

Folder::
C:\qoobox

Save this as CFScript.txt

Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

CFScript.gif

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a fresh HJT log.

There`s obviously a problem with Combofix as it simply isn`t deleting the files.

Completely delete combofix and it`s folders, then try this instead.

1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 from HERE. Save it to your Desktop and extract it.

2. Download the attached avengerscript.txt and save it to your desktop

Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.

3. Now, start The Avenger program by double clicking on its icon on your desktop.

Under "Script file to execute" choose "Load script from file".
Now click on the folder icon which will open a new window titled "open Script File"
navigate to the file you have just downloaded, click on it and press open
Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

4. The Avenger will automatically do the following:

It will Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system twice.)
On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.

5. Please attach the content of c:\avenger.txt into your reply, as well as a fresh HJT log.

That`s got `em lol.

Delete the C:\avenger\backup.zip.

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE.

Now, turn system restore back on. This will have deleted all your old restore points and any nasties that are in them. It will also have created a new, clean restore point.

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.
