Free software for audio cassette to cd

Can anyone suggest me a FREE software to transfer the audio tracks from audio cassette to my pc?

Try Audacity.

Any software capable of sound recording will do it, even the wee little sound recorder thingie you get with Windows. Just record the output from your cassette player to .wav files (use the line-in on your soundcard) and then burn audio CDs using your favourite CD burning software.

On the windows recorder how do you increase the recording time. I can't get it to go above 3 minutes
