FSB question

Hello all, I have built a pc for my wife using my old processor, an AMD Duron 1100, (my daughter had my old motherboard off me when hers died), I have found it only works with a motherboard with an FSB of 100, and will not work with any other speed board. I initially tried a K7S41GX, with an FSB of 200 minimum, but it would not boot up. Is this correct?

I thought it might be the case. Thanks for confirming it, I'll upgrade the processor to a faster one (fsb 200, 266 etc) and use another motherboard. I've got a spare. I'll just have to reload the operating system. My problem is that the pc has stopped booting up, and repeatedly gives out a long beep, but it's only done this since I replaced the ram (put 512Mb in as one of the ram sockets is damaged and can't be used), because XP won't run with only 128Mb ram. It worked ok before, and the ram is ok. Good old e-bay I suppose.
