Game play using the power of thought

This is pretty good. Though the experiments done with implants in a monkey's brain were as amazing.

They got it to play a game where it moved a joystick that controlled a circle on a monitor and smaller circles would appear in random places and it had to obscure them if the larger circle by moving it over them. Then another one would be generated at another point.

Once it had learnt the game the researchers monitored the brain when it played the game. They learnt what signals meant what movements and were able to make a computer take them stright form the brain and use them to control the game instead.

They got the monkey to play the game and it did so with the joystick. However the game was being controlled by the brain directly not the joystick. Then one day the monkey took its hand off of the joystick and continued playing. It realised all by its self that it could play with it's mind and then sat still or did other things and played the game just as accurately and fast as it had done with the joystick.
