Ok I'm seriously thinking about getting a inspiron E1705 notebook with a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS along with a Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 (1.60GHz, 2MB L2 Cache,533 MHz FSB) and 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz as well as a descent 17" monitor from dell. what do you guys think of this selection if I'm to use it for gaming. would it be suitable for higher end games? if so is it capable of high detail or what please tell me. thanks

P.S. do you think its worth the extra 200$ dollars to upgrade the CPU to 2.00Gz with 4mb L2 cache?
I am on a tight budget also for spelling gaming wrong =p

Why are you buying a monitor? If you plan to use it at the desk mainly, get a desktop. You get WAY more for your money with a desktop.
