GE-Force FX5200 problem

Hi i bought a new pc its a AMD Athlon XP 2600+

ASUS A7V8X-X/LAN Broadband Ready, 8 x AGP Slot, 6 PCI Slots, 6 USB Ports.

256Mb DDR 333 Memory

80Gb Hard Drive @ 7200 RPM

52 x 24 x 52 CDRW

GE-Force FX5200 128Mb DDR 8X +TV Out

and windows xp pro edition

i was using the computer it was working fine and when i tried the TV-OUT on the geforce card there was no screen on the tv i turned the computer on and off disconnecting the tvout then the computer started properly until it came to the xp loading screen the screen filckered there was no screen on my monitor but i could hear the computer fans running fine, please someone tell me whats going on, i thinks its the graphics card problem,

you are sure u have checked all the TV out options in the gfx card settings? it sounds to me like when XP boots your gfx card trys to draw a picture at too high a resolution or refresh rate.....turn both down and see what happens
