google problem

I have a problem with teh search engines. whenever i search something on google, i am taken to some random website which somethimes has porn. If i come back to the search and click on it again it works and i get to the website. I am attaching the log file. Please help me!!!

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I have looked at your HJT log that you posted in another thread, now deleted.

Your system is infected and has been hijacked. That`s why you`re having Google problems.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Download and run the Blacklight programme. Follow all the instructions carefully.

Then, go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

since i use this for online banking and important stuff like that do you think that i should format my computer. If so can i use the recovery option that is on my computer which will take the backup of all my dosuments?

Ultimately, that`s a decision you have to make on your own, based on the information I gave you.

However, if it was my system and I used it for those purposes, I would have no hesitation in reformatting the system.

I have tried some of your stuff, and i do not have the google problem anymore, but i am attaching the log file again. I would be happy to know if i am still hijacked or vulnerable to a hijacker. Let me know asap.

Yes, the hijacker is still there.

I can definitely remove the hijacker, but you will need to follow all the instructions exactly.
