Bascially choose a reputable brand(for reliabilty and warranty reasons), and then if you still have several choices choose on the package(i.e. games, programs included).

Can you link to the specific cards?

And yes, they should work with your pc, you have agp 4x which works with agp 8x/4x compatible cards like the 9550.

I think the top two powercolors are ok, the asus is ok, and the ati is ok. I think I'd go with asus, unless it costs more.
This is the model I mean.

There is a 64 bit model, but it's slower, don't get the 64bit one.

If you're in the us, there are a few cards that will perform better than a 9550 for a similar price.
Here are two.

thank you!

btw, will my system have enough power supply juice to upport the card? (pls check out the dimension 4300S link above)

180 watts is pushing it, it might run the 9550 ok but not the other 2 cards. definetely needs to be upgraded. also, i would get the card from the second link provided above, the pnypcfx5700apb video card. i just recently bought it and i play half life 2 and counter strike source no problem, plus it has tv tuner, fm tuner, rca inputs, camcorder inputs, and s-video inputs. to get all the stuff to work though you need these drivers

why? this card soesnt use extra molex connectors like the 9800, just the AGP slot. so why should i upgrade?

by the way i am using a very lousy 16mb ati rage 128 pro and it works fine except for the lousy graphics.

It dosn't need to use extra connectors, it can still suck up more power, but with your current power supply it might not perform 100%, and it might crash the computer if your doing something graphic demanding and it dosn't have enough power to function properly. Still it's up to you, if I was in your shoes though I would definitely upgrade a 180 watt supply.
