graphics problem

hello people

i am having trouble with my graphics card and was wondering how to tweak it to run properly

some games i have and try to run on my pc are lagging hard out and my computer is 5x the recommended specs on the game. i havent tweaked the card settings but im not sure whether its a computer problem or a graphics card problem.

Currently Running

Windows XP Professional SP2
2x Legend 512MB DDR400 PC3200 Hynix Chips
eagle GeForce4 FX5200 128MB 64Bit DDR W/TV OUT
AMD K8 Athlon64 3200+
Asustek A8V-MX Socket 939 VIA K8M800 MicroATX MB

It`s probably the card itself that`s not capable of running the games properly.

It`s not really a very good card for game playing at all.

A graphics card upgrade will most likely solve your problem.

However, since I don`t play games, I`m not in a position to advise on which card would be better for you.

Other members will be able to recommend a better card.

Your system looks like a very good one with the exception of that graphics card as Howard_hopkinso has pointed out. If you can spend $150 you'll be able to play just about any game that is out right now.
