i have recently installed a hard disk in to my computer but i want to be able to save to my E:\ and not my C:\ automatically so i dont have to select where i want to save.

If you are using IE:
Use a registry editing tool to navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Insert a value with the following details:
Data Type: SZ
Value Name: Download Directory
Value: Full path of directory you wish to use.

If you are wanting to do this for MS Word , go to tools -> options (within word), and the File Locations tab.

I'm sure you can do it for other applications either through their options/prefs or through the registry.

You can change it in the preferences of firefox. I said you could likely change them in the options/preferences of many programs in my original reply, and if not you could likely change them in the registry.

Did you even read my post and try? If you had discribed your problem more completely in your post, let alone your topic (I had to add the stuff in the parenthesis) things would have been easier for you and me.
