Hard drives

What is the best hard drive company out there? Is there really a best?

I don`t think there is a best manufacturer. It`s all down to personal preference.

In my opinion, Id rate manufacturers like this.


1. Seagate
2. Western Digital
3. Maxtor
4. Hitachi

I`m sure other members will have other opinions.

Define "best"?

You want cheap? feature-rich? fast? quiet? reliable? SCSI? portable? miniature?

I'm Mostly a Seagate person and Western Digital, but I would do for a Hitachi anyday.
