Harddisk Unrepaireable?

Hello,
I tried using Active@killdisk on my old harddisk, but the process won't progress more than 53% on more than 1 tries. Does this mean that the disk is busted for good?

Usually, yes. Are you trying to recover valuable data? If so, install a new hard drive as master, then this old drive as a slave or USB drive, then see if you can drag and drop the files you need, or use a recover program.
