Have to reinstall each time I restart

Each time I restart my laptop, I get the no active mixer devices and the audio doesn't work, and then I have to reinstall the Realtek AC97 audio drivers. Then it works, but after a restart, it's back to the same, with no audio.

Does this happen with any othe built in devices, like LAN, USB 2 e.c.t.

No I have a firewall problem that I said in another thread, though.

Have you run scandisk recently?

Get a USB sound thing if all else fails.
