I have a ThinkPad T42 laptop

It's got a 40GB HD, supports all conceivable music formats and innumerable decoders/filters, is capable of downloading/playing music straight off the net or CDs and has cool addon features like web browsing, e-mail, video players, games, etc.

Battery lasts for over 4 hours if used sparingly.

I've got a 4th Gen 20 gig iPod.
Don't know how the battery life is, never listened to it long enough at once to run it down.
