Help:Dual OS Troubleshooting

Hi!

I want to have a dual boot in my computer, so I installed XP and Fedora 4. After installing Fedora, I cant access my Windows anymore. An "autochk cannot be found" error appears, then it skips and reboot again.

I installed XP first, and there was no problem with it. I used Partition Magic to allocate space for my Linux and proceed with the procedure. The Linux is working perfectly now, but the Windows dont.

Anyone who has the idea to reslove this problem?

Thanks in advance.

How exactly did you allocate space for Linux?

What kind of partitions do you have at the moment? Paste the output of "fdisk -l /dev/hda" in Linux for example.

Easiest fix since you already formatted and lost everything. Install XP then Install Linux without using Patition magic or whatever you used. Let Linux re-partition the drive.

Erm..........What I meant was when you did a clean install of windows there isn't anything on the computer that you need to save so doing another install won't cause you to lose anything like pics of Documents etc........Just trying to help if you don't like the advise then don't use it..........
