HELP my mobo just died!

right my good ol rig .. was working fine and then the other day it just wouldnt give my monitor any signal
..
the monitor is good
i thought the gfx card was busted so i bought a new one but that made no difference
so i can only think its the mobo

i get no beeps on start up so i assume the mobo is broken

ive been trying to find a new mother board but being socket A althon 3200xp

its becomming quite hard to track a decent board

can anyone give me advice on where to buy a new skt A board that will support a 3200xp (400fsb)

Do not automatically assume your MB is broken. Have you checked your Power Supply? You can do so with a PSU tester or drop in a spare one, if you have access to one.

everything seems to power up ok .. ie both hdds
gfx card fan spins up
dvd drives start spinning
i will have to have a closer look tonight but i reckon its the mobo

i found a converter for a socket A mobo soit could take the 700+ pin cpus
is it possible to buy a newer mobo and use a socket A cpu with it?

other wise im stuffed and i dnt wanna write off my computer it was the 1st one i ever built!!!!
it'll be like cutting off my right arm!

No it's not possible to use a Socket A CPU with a new motherboard.
