Help needed plz with vista

I turned my computer on yesterday and a grey box popped up and said it was deleting files from my computerafter after it got to 6000 files deleted i turned my comp off.When i turned it back on again nothing worked so i decided to do a complete restore of the computer and take it back to factory settings,my problem is tht i have done tht twice now and on both occasions it has run the recovery program and said tht vista has been reinstalled and the comp restarts like normal but vista doesnt load i just get a black screen could someone plz help me

Have you tried not booting off the cd, and just before you are used to seeing the Vista loading screen pressing F8 to bring up a boot menu. From there choose Safe Mode, then inside safe mode pick a restore date from when the computer worked?
