HELP!! no sound in videos

i dont know wats happened.....did i do smthing or not....but am in big problem now...... whenever i play my cd/dvd i can actually view the video but i dint know why the hell i cant listen to any audio...i using windows xp and i have even tried ta re-install driver but still no improvement...plz guys u do help me out
