HELP! Vegas 6.0d error on start

  1. Ok - when starting Vegas 6.0 it causes a csc.exe application error and says that the application failed to initialize properly. How can I fix this. Tried to delete program and reinstall but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I don`t know if this`ll help fix your problem, but it seems it may be a problem with the Microsoft net framework application. See HERE.

    Tried that suggestion

I installeded the 1.1 spervice pack one and the new sp1 security update...still gives me a csc.exe error. Do you have any other suggestions.

What if I deleted the 1.1 framework and installed 2.0? Thoughts

That might be worth a try. However, I`d recommend you set a restore point first, just in case.

Have you checked with the Vegas manufacturers website for any possible fix?

If none of the above helps, I`m afraid I have no other ideas.

    Regards Howard :)

    delete all .net fix
check sony for the .net files
some programs will have it included
or point to the dwnld url for it in install
try load sony withou the .net framework
I had a corrupt setup of .net fix had to delete all instances even the reg
if you need to install this app dwnld the distrubution version
reboot get the spk patch reboot
new install of .net must be rebooted before the lunch of programs that use it
