help with game crashes

every game i play crashes to my desktop. I have the updated drivers for my vid card (catalyst 3.10) and win xp. how can i check if my ram is bad i think that might be it? i don't think i have any viruses Norton always comes up clean but i did have blaster and welchia on here bfore. any suggestions

To be sure, DL and install both Adaware and Spybot S&D.
Before you run those scans, use the update-function in both programs first.

Have you checked the temperature of your mobo? Are all the fans in your PC working, especially those on CPU and graphics card?

Is your PSU strong enough for whatever you attach onto it?

Go to http://www.memtest86.com and download Memtest. Run it overnight to see how good/bad your RAM is.
