Help with mp3 player/flash drive

when I hook it up to my comp, it says :
HI-SPEED USB Device into non-HI-SPEED USB Device

it says that it will just work slower because it is not HI-SPEED...
but it is not there when I go into My Computer....
Help anyone?

and
