xp or sp2? sp2 is free from microsoft via download or they send in mail! not sure bout xp sorry!

No matter what Miscrosoft does, there is a web site for it. Go to www.microsoft.com and search for XP. You should be able to purchase a new copy and be sure and get all the upgrades. Since they have the validation system in, pirated copies of their software does not work well. Good Luck. Be sure and write down the auth code, It might even be easier if you gar a copy thru Amazon,

You could also buy from NewEgg.com. If you're gonna be moving the OS from one computer to another, though, avoid OEM versions.
