  1. I was a young man when Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were just starting the PC revolution, but I missed the boat. It wasn't until the '90s that I got into computers. A friend helped me build my first one, and I've been hooked ever since. I built, upgraded and repaired three computers back then. Now I'm using a laptop--the only computer I ever bought. I think of myself as a computer nerd, but not a geek. I don't know that much. That's why I'm here...for those times when I need help.

    Hi Steve

I am not a mod, but
    Welcome to [IMG] :grinthumb

When I arrived, one of the Mods welcomed me with these helpful hints.

You should read how to post a new thread in this Guide.

Before posting you should read all the Posting Guidelines.

To access technical support you may go to the Forums.

Many users like to post system specs in their Profile.
System Specs are always helpful when you seek support, (see the first two suggestions).
And helpers may ask that you post some of your specs in your thread.

You can access many other online TechSpot guides Here.

    Enjoy your Stay :)

    Thanks, B00kWyrm

I appreciate all the links. I will certainly add my system specs to my profile. It sounds like good advice.
