hi
i have 3 computer naming 2 desktop and 1 laptop. all systems are running on window xp pro SP2. all 3 are connected on a linksys router wrt54g. initially both desktop are working fine with the home networking where shared documents could be seen on both desktop and could be accessed. its only recently when i do a home networking for my laptop that thins went wrong.

2 computer(1 desktop and 1 laptop) could communicate and view the other desktop shared documents. the other desktop could not see the other 2 computer's shared documents. i have tried to reboot the router and ping each computer with the ip addresses and all seems to work well. i am really stuck and lost as to how to get the other desktop working with the home network. could anyone out there help me out?
thanks

you should search for this issue -- it's been discuss many times.

that said:
all computers must have the same WORKGROUP NAME
must have Simple File Sharing enabled.
must have the firewall allow Print/File Sharing.

the first sign of progress is when each computer can ping all other computers;
get the IP ADDRESS of each (run->cmd /k ipconfig) and then
using a list of your addresses, run->cmd /k ping $one-of-the-addresses
