Horrible load times in HL2. Could mobo/proc be problem?

Hey guys, im kinda new to this forum so bear wit me Alright so heres the scenario, the game looks incredible with my current grafix card (radeon 9550 256mb 4x/8x agp) but the load times between scenes are pretty long. Try around 40 seconds long. Im running two 512 ddr sticks of pc2100, and an amd athlon xp 2000+. The mobo i have is 4x agp only. Is it possible to speed up my load times in this game?

The load times are down to your computer, however I used to have a 1.50GHZ p4 and that ran hl2... try using this website and remove some backround programs. This website if followed correctly will speed up your pc abit...
