Hour Glass Flashes

I have windows xp and my satelite provider recently updated it's operating systen and ever since the hour glass flashes about once every second as long as I am connected to the net. I have run 4or 5 spyware removal programs and three anti virus programs with no result. Anyone had this problem or knows how to fix it Thanks
