how can i change video card timing??

i changed my video card resolution to a setting that is out of range so my monitor wont come on it just sais out of range change timing. so my question is how do i change the timing when i cant see the desktop???

Reboot into safe mode, and then reset your resolution.

When XP is about to boot, press F8 to get into the Advanced Options Menu, then select "Enable VGA Mode" from the menu.

What are you trying to do ?

What resolution do you want to run @ what refresh rate ? You have to make sure your monitor supports that refresh rate, if it doesn't then you get a blank screen ,,

What do you mean by timeing ?
What video Card or onboard is it.
My ATI monitor options has a listing of what it supports.
What are you trying to use ?
Yours should too,if you go about installing it and the monitor properly.
But Safe mode should let you set your options.Always restart when you
change settings.
