Have you done any of these lately?

there's a direct correlation of running programs to memory performance.
  1. reduce the number of active services to ONLY those you need
  2. reduce the number of startup programs (hint: you don't need auto-update programs)
  3. use hd cleanup
  4. run PagDefrag to help with the pagefile.sys and the registry

totally a different question than just 'memory'. :)

yeah i meant my ram... it "crackles" when i doing multiple things at once... it wasnt like that before i reformatted... any idea?

When memory crackles, you have a problem somwhere that must be corrected.

Usually, it is the video graphics card or port that is "crackling" and it would be worth while to use a decent quality directional microphone to help figger out from whence the sound is coming.
