How can i tell if theres something wrong with my graphics card

i have a geforce 6800 XT and lately my pc will just freeze completely. After a little while, it just reboots. I recently had the nv4_disp error, but im almost positive i got rid of it. Ive updated my drivers to the 81,98 drivers. Is there a test i can do to see if my graphics card is bad. Could it be something else too.
