Please could someone help me? I want to put my vhs tapes onto my pc so that I can then put them onto dvd, but Im not sure how to connect my vcr player to my PC? I have an ATI Radeon X300SE video card which has a S-Video port. Please could somebody tell me what leads I need to connect my VCR to my PC? I also have magix movie edit as the software.
Thanks

That S-Video port in your graphics card is for outputting from PC to TV, not the other way around.

Probably the easiest way would be to get an external "VHS to DVD converter", like this. Generally they do all the hard work so that the video is ready to be burnt to DVD.

Internal TV cards might be cheaper - at least the low-end models - but they also require more tinkering with capture settings etc., in my opinion. You'd have the advantage to capture lossless video (if your computer can handle that) and filter the image though.
