Hello

I'm trying to install xp home onto a friends IBM machine, the machine boots to floppy by default, so I went into setup (took me a while to find out it was F1 for that), and found that there isn't any option to change the boot order to CD-ROM in the bios, what's that all about?

Do I need to make bootable floppies, or is there some secret IBM code thing to change the order?

(I didn't get the motherboard or bios info before I left)

Anyway,
Thanks in advance.

Do you realise that IBM has manufactured probably hundreds of different models of computers over the years? And you provided zero information about the machine in question..

IBM/Lenovo have Flash-based BIOS simulators for some of their models on their website. You can use the flash simulation to look for the right place.
