How do yo convert a recorded TV show from the Windows Media Center Edition format to a format that can be read by a Sony DVD Player?

You do it within the realms of the DMCA, taking account of any "fair usage" laws that apply in your country - and if you live in the UK, it's a grey area even at that.

What's the name of the show, and when did it air? If it's commercially available, I personally would consider such an act to be piracy, which techspot does't help people with in any way shape or form.

Never considered the legal aspects!

As I said in the title bar, I never considered that there were legal/ copyright issues. I was just looking for a fast way to be able to watch recoded shows on the big screen without running cables each time. Thanks for the heads-up. I was not trying to circumvent the law.
