hp pavilion media center/DVD resolution

Hello to everyone out there. I have a quick question to anyone who might have a possible solution. When I play a dvd through the media center, it plays much too large (even the title menu options don't fit on the screen) however it should play in, mostly, a widescreen format. Also the resolution has now changed.

I have tried the properties options and changed the screen resolution, but to no avail. I have also tried to uninstall the Intel chipset family, but also not a fix.

Any other suggestions?

Still a problem

to be honest (whatever came with the system Windows XP), i don't know, however this is what hp told me to do:

Re-install Video Driver
1. click Start, All Programs, (Hewlett Packard), HP Tools, Application
Recovery
2. Select Driver Installation
3. Click Next
4. Check the check box for Graphics card driver
5. Click Install
6. Restart the system
Reduce Hardware Acceleration
1. Choose Start, Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then
click Display.
2. Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
3. Click the Troubleshooting tab.
4. Move the Hardware acceleration slider to None.
5. Click OK to accept the new setting, and then click OK to close the
Display Properties window.
6. Restart Windows.

Now the DVD feature in my Media Center is gone and when I try to open it up I get a pop-up that says: my video card or driver is not compatible with Media Center.

Any ideas?
