I can't record with mixer

I had purchase a Thunder KST880-4D with a Electro-Voice Microphone and I couldn't get it to record.

I had an external soundcard (Creative SB) I work the microphone to work with speaker but not with recording.

What is the most likely mistake I had made, please guide me

the most likely mistake in pretty much any audio-related problem is not plugging the speaker connector into the correct jack.
