I try to open a folder and it goes to search?

i recently tryed to change my icons, and figured out i was doing it wrong. i went into control panel, then folder options. i went over to file types and changed my "Folder and Drives" icons by going to advanced. Somewhere in doing that the default action changed to "Find". i have tryed making an action called "Open", and i have tryed setting nothing as a default, but it always goes to the search.
Anyone that knows how to fix it, please reply ASAP!

There are some file association fixes HERE

They restore the default actions for various file types.

If I`m understanding you correctly you`ll want the LNK(shortcut) fix,
but see if any of the others take your fancy.

What exactly are you clicking on that takes you to Find ?

My C drive and all file folders, accept, my documents, my computer and folders like that

Got it. i had to go in and edit the registry.
