I want to make my internet connection wireless

Hi! I currently have an ADSL2 broadband connection but am wanting to make it wireless. I have a laptop that the connection is currently connected to.

Can I just make my connection wireless by buying some sort of equipment? (As you can tell - I have NO IDEA! Haha!) I don't have another computer though just the laptop -does tht matter?

Your ADSL2 modem is that wireless as well ?
If not you will need to purchase a wireless router (hub)

Your Laptop does that have wireless ?
If not you will need buy a wireless USB connector or PCMCIA Wireless card

No, the modem isnt wireless as well but the laptop has wireless card. If I buy a wireless router - does that have to be connected to a pc so that I can have the laptop wireless? I don't have another computer - only the laptop.

No
The wireless router connects to your ADSL2 modem (hard wired Ethernet) and therefore your Laptop will not have any HardWired connections, just wireless.

Mind you, the wireless router (to buy) should have extra ports that you can also connect Hard Wired to. In case wireless doesn't work !

pickup a short cat4 cable; to config the wireless router for access, you FIRST use
a wired connection.
Think about it -- what happens if you change the wireless config when you are
connected via wireless?
