Hey,

I have this IBM monitor that is driving me crazy it makes this ringing sound that last one to two min long at all different times and I just can't find a way to make it stop.

I was serious.

If its some high pitched sound its the flyback transformer in the monitor, it runs at a high frequency and can emit high pitched sounds. Usually banging on the side of the monitor is a temporary fix.

A more permanate fix is opening up the monitor and stratigically placing a dab of hot glue. But DO NOT DO THIS unless you know what you are doing, TS will not be responsible if you fry yourself poking around on the inside of a monitor.
