I'm repairing a Compaq 6000 with the N1996 motherboard. It has a two pin jack for the power supply fan which also affects the CPU fan. The pwr supply is bad and I placed all the components in another tower. I read some threads of others who experienced the same problem. Did anyone resolve this issue? I read a thread from Dcrewchief--it stated that you should adapt from the two pin to a four pin straight out the power supply. I did not quite understand what was meant by this; so, if anyone has a good answer please let me know.
