Install 2 capture cards

I want to install 2 PCI video capture cards in 1 Win XP Pro PC. The capture card that I want to buy has the requirements that my PC meets. Besides these requirements, do I need anything else to make a use of these capture cards for security camera system at a small business?

Do you know of any good software (free or paid) that you can recommend to make a custom surveillance system.

Are you sure that your system can handle two cards at once? Video capture is a very heavy task and unless your cards can do hardware compression, your computer may not have enough CPU power or PCI bandwidth to process the imputs from both cards.

Would buying a PC be a better solution to accomplish my goal?
