Install an old HD

My sister has a pc with Win98SE -128k and a 10Gig HD, my question is if I can install another HD from an old pc it is 4Gig ,could I do directly or there is some steps to follow.

This should not be a problem. You need to make sure it is pinned out as a slave and then connected to a slave cable. There should be a diagram on the drive.
