Install Windows 2000 Advanced server

Dear Experts,
I am going to install Windows 2000Advanced server.
This is the first time i am going to do..could you pls
tell me whats the basic things i have to do or prepare before
doing installation.
I mean pre installation steps...?
I have just WINDOWS 2000Advanced Server CD in my hand now...
and the system to be installed is empty now.

Start the PC, click on Del key or whatever key is needed to go into BIOS, set that to boot from CD first.
Save/exit BIOS, the PC will reboot, and show you a warning to hit any key to boot from CD. This message shows only a few seconds! If you miss it, reboot again.
Windows should start installing, just follow the directions.
