Installing COM Ports

I am tryng to make my modem work with WINFAX pro 10.02.
The modem does work and says it is on COM3.
However, I only have one com port. See attach.
So when WF scans for open COM ports or queries the modem the computer cashes and reboots.
If you quiery the modem from the control pannel, it works fine.
How do I install more COM ports.

You don't need to install com ports.
You have one physical COM port named COM1.
Your internal modem creates a virtual COM port named COM3 or COM4.
It's probably a bug in WinFax. an you set it up without scanning and stuff?

Can you set up WinFax by giving values to it manually so it wouldn't scan for ports?
