Hi, i was trying to remove my old cpu (P4 S478) cooler (intel's based) in order to install a new one (gigabyte's 3d cooler pro) , but when i removed it the processor was attached on it, i removed the processor but some pins were bent!! i went to a friend(technician) to fix the pins, and all seems to be ok, cpu is attached well, but some pins were bent! Is this a problem??

Well if its working then thats a good sign, but I do not recommend removing it agian if the pins were bent, removing agian may break the pins right off.

i think one or two ins were badly bented but the cpu was attached fine, will it a cause a cpu performance problem?

Well like I said before, if its working it working, if it doesn't work it doesn't work. Bending the pins isn't the greatest, thats why you have to treat the CPU like its your baby. You should be fine.
