I've been fighting with windows 2003 serverm, standard edition for the last 3 days at work and I keep getting this....odd error.

I am installing a legal copy that work bought on a HP Proliant DL320 g2 server.

the server:
1 Gig ram, 2.2 gig, single processor with 2 Maxtor 80 gig hard drives setup in an onboard raid 1+2 configuration.

I insert the win 2003 CD and boot from the CD. It begins loading the set up files and then 1 of 2 things has been happeneing.

It gets to the Windows Set up Screen: and the message on the grey bar says Set up is starting Windows Installation...and will hang there for over 30 minutes without doing anything.

Or the more common Error:
Trap 00000002 Exception

Setup is loading Volume Manager

I can't find any reference to this happening on the Microsoft site or when I searched these archives.

Anymore information that I could provide to help narrow down what the issue I'll provide it, this is totally throwing me for a loop.

I found the problem. Trap 002 is a RAM issue, it seems that Trap 006 is a CPU issue.

I replaced my ECC memory with a different kind and I was able to continue with the Install of 2003.

Its running like a champ now.
